Malte Beyer-Katzenberger, Team Leader at the European Commission

Malte Beyer-Katzenberger works in DG CONNECT, the European Commission department responsible for digital policies. He is team leader in a unit dealing with horizontal questions of the data economy. Most recently he was involved in the drafting and negotiation of the EU 2020 data strategy, the Data Governance Act and the Data Act.


Elisabeth Guissart, Associée at /c law

Started her lawyer career in 2006, Elisabeth Guissart specialises in IP, IT (regulatory, outsourcing, contractual) and data protection. Lecturer at the University of Luxembourg in legal methodology,, she is a renowned data protection, IP & commercial law litigator. She works with clients from all kinds of sectors, such as the public sector, artists, industry or IT service providers. Elisabeth co-founded the first Luxembourg IP/IT legal magazine and is deeply involved in the legal publishing sector. She is known for her in-depth analysis of the cases and her legal rigour.


Marc Lemmer, Commissioner at the National Commission for Data Protection (CNPD) 

Marc Lemmer gained experience in research, innovation, digitalization and business development challenges across different industries and is committed to a responsible and sustainable use of new technologies.  At the CNPD Marc is the Commissioner in charge of Guidance activities including information desk, awareness, training, communication and knowledge. Before his present position, Marc worked for the SnT/University of Luxembourg (Head of Industry partnership & Technology transfer office), collaborated as an independent advisor with innovation-driven companies, public institutions and business associations after having led the CRP Henri Tudor as its CEO and initiating the creation of the LIST.



Maxime Dufour, Legal expert at the National Commission for Data Protection (CNPD) 

With a master in Algorithmic Law and Data Governance, Maxime Dufour has gained experience working for French courts and various law firms. At CNPD, he focuses on the complex issues of European information systems and raising public awareness concerning personal data.



Raoul Winkens, Data Protection Officer at Maastricht University

Privacy lawyer working for 6 years in academia (UM) as Data Protection Officer. With a fascination for technology and law, the field of data protection in academia is exciting and challenging.



Samuel Renault, AIDA Lab pole leader at Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST)

Samuel Renault is the manager of the team providing software engineering, data management, and AI and Data Analytics infrastructure related services in LIST. Previously, Samuel Renault was technology line manager for explainable AI and regulatory sandbox technologies.



Sandrine Munoz, Data Protection Officer, University of Luxembourg 

After several years of experience in the banking sector as compliance officer Sandrine Munoz joined the University of Luxembourg as DPO. Sandrine Munoz is working for 7 years at the University of Luxembourg where she implemented a data protection office and she is assuming the function around 3 pillars; information, advising and monitoring of compliance in academics, research and administrative tasks of the University.
